Welcome to Writing  Ethos

I traded the confines and four walls of the traditional classroom setting to teach remotely while traveling the country in my RV and writing about my journey.

Now, I am taking field trips across the country to explore the charming towns, grand cities, majestic forests, snug parks, and picturesque scenery along the way.

I want to inspire teachers to discover the freedom of teaching from anywhere!

Teach

As the education landscape began to shift and remote learning rapidly evolved, I saw an opportunity to reimagine my teaching career. In 2022, after fifteen years in traditional classrooms, I made the leap to online teaching—and it’s been transformative. Now, I’m passionate about helping other K-12 educators explore the immense potential of virtual education. Whether you’re ready to leave the classroom or simply curious about online teaching, this space is for you. Here, I share practical strategies for transitioning to remote education, thoughtful insights on its many rewards, and adaptable lesson ideas for both virtual and in-person teaching. Together, we’ll navigate this evolving remote educational landscape and uncover what’s possible when we embrace change.

Write

A space dedicated to celebrating the

power of words and the art of expression-

As a high school English teacher, my passion for writing runs deep—from crafting prompts and refining essays to unraveling the intricacies of grammar. Writing is more than just a routine for me; it’s a love affair with words, phrases, and the endless possibilities they bring. This page is your guide to all things writing. Here, I’ll delve into the craft of writing, academic excellence, and the art of persuasion through rhetoric. I’ll explore literary analysis, argumentation, and the art of creative expression. Whether you’re perfecting an academic essay, developing your rhetorical edge, or venturing into the realm of storytelling, I am here to inspire and support your journey. Let’s write something meaningful together.

Travel

Why wait until retirement to travel when the open road is calling now? For those of us who’ve embraced the remote work and travel lifestyle, the answer is simple: life is too short to wait. This blog chronicles my adventures as I explore the country, living out my bucket list one destination at a time. From charming small towns to breathtaking landmarks, I’m here to share the joy, challenges, and unforgettable moments of life on the road. Join me as I roam, discover, and savor everything this beautiful country has to offer.

Hello!

I am a former classroom teacher, recent empty nester, newbie RVer, and aspiring writer.

After finding myself at a significantly pivotal time in my life,  I had a choice to make. I faced a career challenge that forced me to contemplate my future, and I saw an opportunity.

I love teaching, but after twelve years in the public school setting, I knew that if I wanted to make a difference, I would need to leave the classroom for good.

So I did.

Now, I am teaching remotely and traveling the country.
